Questionnaire Summary.
My questionnaire was set up with the idea that we had equal numbers of male and female participants so that the results were more easy to record in graphs and we could get a wider range of information by asking both genders which you can see in the first question that was asked. The next question was about age and again we needed this information to see what age group we would be targeting roughly as you can see by the results nearly 75% of the people we asked were in the age group of under 16's we know from this that most young people will go and watch more films rather than people in the 30+ categories, this information will go towards the research into certificates and what certificate our film should be.
The next lot of questions start to get more information out of the participants that took part in the questionnaire, as you can see in the next question that there is a lot of mixed thoughts around the type of genre that people like but as you can see both Drama and Horror genres has equal percentages, so from this we decided to choose for ourselves on what genre the film should be, we chose Drama because we did Horror the previous year, so we thought it would be good to increase our media skills and learn and find out what contributes to a new genre that we haven't yet done. The next question again is a simple one but i think gets straight to the point and most of the people asked have heard of short films, and only one out of the ten asked haven't, this follows on for the next question as both are linked together and yet only six of that nine people that were familiar about short films have actually seen one which was a shock and an unexpected out come, i would have thought they would have been the same as the results from the previous question.
The next question that i want to draw attention to is the one where i ask if you would watch a film around different kinds of abuse?, I think that i worded the question wrong and people go the idea that it was going to be an horrific film about people getting beat up and abused in many ways, but in fact the film we decided to do does involve abuse in many forms, from violence to drug but its like an educational story on not what to do in the situations, but it is shown as a short film, so i think that people would have understood better if i asked, Would you watch a film based around a young girl and her struggle though abuse (violence and Drug)? i think this would have got a better response as it is less blunt ans to the point.
